UPSC Hub is an independent educational website for UPSC Civil Services Examination aspirants. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We keep this simple on purpose — we collect very little.
1. Information you give us directly
Feedback form: Our Feedback page asks for your name, email address, and your message. When you submit it, these details are emailed to the site administrator so your suggestion can be read and acted on. We do not sell, rent, or share this information with anyone, and we do not add you to any mailing list.
Quizzes: Our practice quizzes are open to everyone — no login or account is needed. We do not ask for your name or email to attempt a quiz, and your answers are not stored against any identity.
We do not run user accounts, comments, or newsletters at this time, so there is nothing else you hand us directly.
2. Information collected automatically
Essential cookies: WordPress (the software this site runs on) sets a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep the site working — for example, to remember cookie-consent choices. These cannot be switched off without breaking basic functionality.
Advertising cookies: When this site begins showing ads through Google AdSense, Google and its advertising partners will use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Specifically:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user\’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google\’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google\’s Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors\’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.
If you prefer, you can set your browser to refuse all cookies — the site\’s articles and notes will still work, though some interactive features may behave differently.
3. How we use the information
We use the small amount of information we hold only to:
- read and respond to feedback and suggestions;
- keep the site secure and fix technical problems;
- understand, in aggregate, which pages readers find useful (we do not track individuals).
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we do not use it for marketing.
4. How long we keep it
Feedback emails are kept for as long as needed to act on them, and deleted when no longer useful. Quiz attempts are not stored at all. Server logs held by our hosting provider are kept only for routine security and performance purposes.
5. Your rights
You can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Use the Feedback page to reach us with such a request, and we will act on it promptly.
6. Children
This site is intended for exam aspirants, generally aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. External links
Our articles link to official sources such as upsc.gov.in and to other reference sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those external websites — their own policies apply once you leave ours.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information — for example, when we start running ads or analytics — we will update this page and change the “last updated” date above. Significant changes will also be noted on the site.
